Fall Posting

Fall is in full effect here in Massachusetts. Some of the trees have already peaked while others are just starting to burst. Truly beautiful. Mia's enjoying her first fall very much. She's grown quite a bit. She weighed in at 16lbs 5 oz the other day at the doctor's office.

She is making incredible progress with regard to her head control and overall muscle movement. She can hold her head up pretty well now on her own, but depending on her energy level sometimes she needs some help. Mia has starting having infantile spasms, which is a kind of seizure. The docs tell us it's common in kids that our seizure prone, and especially kids with PDH. They prescribed some medication and it has helped a bit, though she is still having them albeit less frequently. We are seeing the doctor again on Monday and perhaps they will adjust the meds.

Below are some pics from a trip we took to the Boston Public Gardens on a beautiful day at the end of September. I'll try to get some more recent pics loaded up later.

Here Mia gets a little physical therapy in her chair. The therapist is helping her activate her neck muscles with a little light touch stimulation.
